Our alumni communities and networks are growing day by day and have reached around 10.000 members. Some of them decided to organize chapters (small groups) to keep in contact or build professional collaboration with each other. In 2022 our alumni volunteers launched 6 different new alumni groups (4 local and 2 professional) giving a chance to the members to join. Sándor Petőfi was born 200 years ago and became a symbol of the Hungarian nation’s struggle for freedom and independence.
The time has come to introduce our international alumni volunteer team with 30 people from 17 countries speaking 23 different languages. In the next chapter of our volunteer series, you can read Anna Brjezovskaia’s story from Georgia! She is pursuing her MA degree at Eötvös Loránd University in the field of International Relations (IR), with a specialization in security studies. She is an International Relations Expert with a BA from ELTE University. Currently, Anna is an ELTE University International Student Ambassador and Teaching Assistant.
Digital networking and continuous monitoring of the news have become an essential part of today's connectivity. Being a freshly graduated student or experienced alumni is a different stage of our life and there are many treasures in our huge alumni community. Damilia Arzybekova, our alumni volunteer, created the BudapestMate social media pages to encourage young people with exciting alumni life after studies and show carrier-ways with various professional backgrounds.

She studied in Hungary and did her doctoral degree between 2016-2021 at the University of Szeged and now she is a Lecturer in the Department of Statistics and Computational Mathematics, at The Technical University of Kenya, Nairobi, Kenya.
