in case of institutional coordinators the Data Controller manages the user’s data for the purposes of:
- registration for the website
- identification as an official employee of a Hungarian university
- being able to connect with relevant alumni. During registration, coordinators indicate which university they represent. After registration and identification, coordinators can send messages to their institution’s relevant alumni, and they can search for relevant members of the network (etc. contact those students who studied or still studying in Hungary).
- connecting users if website dysfunctionality occurs
- being able to delete personal profiles in case users wish to cancel them
in case of representatives of consulates or embassies, the Data Controller manages the user’s data for the purposes of:

Appearance/visibility of personal data
The mentioned personal data in connection alumni profiles are categorized in three groups:
- obligatory and visible personal data (bold and marked with *): these data are obligatory to be given and are able to be seen by all the users of the website. The specific purpose of this data type is the creation and presentation of statistics of the users (through an interactive map) to all the users of the website.
- obligatory and non-visible personal data (marked with *): these data are obligatory to be given for the finalization of the registration, but visible for the other users only by your choice - except your password, because this field remains non-visible and needs to be filled out in order to a successful registration
- voluntary personal data (non-signed): these data are voluntary to be given during the registration.
Having been initially registered on their profile, this information is accessible to users themselves, to the Tempus Public Foundation, to higher education institutions, to embassies and (with the exception of the obligatory and non-visible personal data, see above) can be released individually and voluntarily for other registered users. However, networking may be more effective if you fill in as many personal details as you are a registered person and you make them visible to other users.
Only the registered higher education institutions, consulates / embassies and registered companies are able to see your public personal data solely within the website. The HEI institutions referred to may access the data provided exclusively for establishing contacts in conformity with the goals of the portal, for example to find experts in a certain specialist area, to establish and develop the institutional alumni community and, should this be required, to contact them. The data may not be used for further purposes, in particular not for commercial inquiries or mailings.
The personal data related to the organizations (name and e-mail address of the contact person, as well as the phone number, optionally) is treated in line with the same principles as the data of the natural person users.
It is not possible to access to your data out of the website as well as to find your data via an Internet search engine.
A search engine, solely within the website will enable you to look for other users and have them find you. You can do searches for all data, depending on what the other users have determined to be visible.
It is also possible for all users to join existing network groups (communities) or set up their own network groups. Every group has moderator(s) up to whom it is to decide whether the group is public or is only accessible to certain people who have been invited.
Please note: once a group has been designated public by the moderator, contributions can be read by all registered users and can be seen who made the contribution.
Duration of the data management
Personal data in case of alumni, university coordinators, representatives of consulates or embassies, and company representatives will be processed until the user’s voluntary consent is withdrawn. The user may withdraw their voluntary consent at any time, free of charge, by sending an e-mail to infoalumni@tpf.hu or to adatvedelem@tpf.hu.
Personal data in case of applications will be processed until the applicant’s voluntary consent is withdrawn. An applicant may withdraw their voluntary consent at any time, free of charge, by sending an e-mail to Tempus Public Foundation to infoalumni@tpf.hu or to adatvedelem@tpf.hu. After withdrawal, Tempus Public Foundation requests the cancelation of the data from the relevant company too, and the company cannot use the withdrawn data anymore (not even for marketing purposes or advertising new positions etc.)
