Alumni Connect: Master Classes for Young Changemakers & Researchers

We have several alumni members who hold a PhD/DLA or study as emerging researchers and there are many young researchers in Hungary, who rarely meet each other. Thus, Alumni Network Hungary and GiLE Foundation organize masterclasses in Budapest at the Tempus Public Foundation’s office on 12 May (Friday)! Let’s join us and refresh your professional network with great people!

During the afternoon we will introduce you to the Alumni Network Hungary and GiLE Foundation with the Changemaker Forum.
You will have the opportunity to develop new skills and connect with peers who share your passion for lifelong learning and driving positive change. You will have the chance to attend any of the following free workshops:

Masterclass: Networking Skills. Learn about basic concepts of networking, develop a networking strategy to grow your network, and discover simple techniques to improve your ability to influence people.

Alumni Discussion Forum: Learn how to benefit from being in an Alumni Network Hungary community, and get to know more about the network and its chapters. The masterclass is interactive and gives you practical tips. Grab your name card and learn about how to build your brand.

Masterclass: Time Management for Researchers. This session is intended to support young and early career researchers who are immersed in intense research activities and who are fast approaching graduation. You can develop personalized prioritization skills for research tasks and responsibilities, identify common time-wasting habits, and learn essential tools for efficient research activity.

Masterclass: The Pitfalls of Plagiarism. The disciplinary consequences of plagiarism can be severe. Thus, avoiding plagiarism is important. This workshop will help early career researchers and PhD students to understand, recognize and avoid plagiarism. You will learn how to recognize the various types of plagiarism and understand the difference between common knowledge vs. plagiarism.
