As part of an intergovernmental agreement between Hungary and Kazakhstan, the Hungarian Ministry of Education provides 250 scholarships annually for bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral studies for citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Inspired by the intercultural exchange, the Kazakhstan Association of Students and Graduates of Hungarian Universities has set up its own public association. With the support of the Hungarian-Kazakh Business Council, they plan to organise a Youth Forum in Budapest.
The main objectives of the Kazakhstan Association of Students and Graduates of Hungarian Universities are to promote the academic growth and professional development of its members and to serve as a platform for knowledge exchange, research collaboration and professional development. They are also in the process of establishing partnerships with international and public companies to provide internships and employment for Kazakh graduates of Hungarian universities. They also promote cultural understanding and appreciation between the Kazakh and Hungarian peoples through cultural events, language exchanges and other intercultural initiatives.

The association’s efforts aim to enhance the bonds between Kazakhstan and Hungary. For example, with the support of the Hungarian Embassy in the Republic of Kazakhstan, online Hungarian language courses for beginners and advanced learners have been launched in Kazakhstan to spread the influence and knowledge of Hungarian culture and language. In addition, the association also provides advice and information to those who wish to study in Hungary. So far, the association has cooperated with the BME, the BGE and the University of Sopron.

They offer exciting opportunities to share your scientific and professional knowledge with other participants through discussions, seminars and joint projects, including networking events, cultural celebrations and educational seminars. By encouraging volunteers to become mentors to students and newcomers, the association expects that this guidance and support will have a profound impact on the future path of these young people.
