The business journal Heti Világgazdaság lists at the end of each year the best Hungarian universities for the coming year. This year, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), the University of Szeged and the University of Debrecen are among the top, as Eduline reports.
The Alumni Hungary Network is in close cooperation with the Hungarian higher education institutions (HEI). The aim of the cooperation with the alumni offices of the HEIs is to support their international alumni activities, by providing them with trainings, inviting internationally acknowledged lecturers and reviewing case studies according to their needs. This November was a very productive month for Alumni Hungary Network on this field.

The Coalition, which the University of Szeged is also a member of, was created to bring Hungary to the forefront of Europe, becoming an important member of the International Artificial Intelligence Community. The parties have signed the contracts that support the establishment of a BMW facility in Debrecen at UD. In connection with the development, the Faculty of Engineering at UD will launch new academic programmes.
'I have more opportunities here than I had at home. Being in the center of Europe helps me stay connected with all that happens in my field of interest in this area', told me Muhammad Nur Ali Akbar. Muhammad is currently an MSc Petroleum Geoengineering student at the University of Miskolc and the president of the Indonesian chapter of Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts. Recently, he returned from an international conference in Poland, where he has been awarded for the best oral presentation.
The University of Szeged Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and the University of Warsaw Faculty of Management signed a cooperation agreement on 4 October concerning the launch of a new double degree programme.
More opportunities are needed for establishing international cooperations to flourish innovation and research. The first International Alumni Workshop was organised in Budapest between 3-5 October for a not smaller purpose than motivate these actions in the field of healthcare and innovation. After the workshop we are very confident that this will be a “To be continued …” story in the future.
The venue was bustling with young people, students, parents exploring opportunities and dreaming of studying abroad. I remembered myself from 3 years ago, at this venue with the same dream to study in Europe. Only this time, my dream had gotten come true and I was on the other side giving advice to others.
The new academic year will start within a few days, but it worth looking back to the summer and its great graduation events at Semmelweis University, Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary, Eötvös Loránd University and University of Miskolc.
