Embassy of Hungary in Amman

Developing bilateral relations between the two countries. That includes political, economic, cultural and educational areas and more. The Stipendium Hungaricum programme has been running for years and proved to be one of the most fruitful areas of bilateral cooperation.

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations more than half a century ago, trust and friendship have been forged between our two countries and peoples. Tens of thousands of our citizens visited each others’ countries. Like Hungary, Jordan due to its historic, religious and natural heritage enjoys a significant touristic appeal. This is combined with tolerance and security. Our business ties also offer new opportunities in the fields of energy, services and investment.

During the past decades, hundreds of Jordanian students graduated from Hungarian universities, earning professional and social acclaim in both of our countries. We are proud of the success of these medical doctors, engineers, business people who are also the pillars of our bilateral cooperation. From the 2014-15 academic year Hungary offers state scholarships for a new generation of young Jordanians to obtain valuable knowledge in our higher education system.

The development of our relations enjoys outstanding political support from both parties. Hungary on its part recognises and supports Jordan’s peaceful internal development and its regional stabilizing role. I would hope our cooperation will also receive support from the visitors of this website. For this, we offer some links of reference.
