The Alumni Hungary network is a great platform for you to:

The representatives and coordinators of a given Hungarian higher education institution have the same user rights on the Alumni Hungary portal as an alumni user. They can create alumni events and promote those, can establish groups where they can start and lead conversations and debates about certain issues, and are able to induce detailed search with the help of our interactive map function.

How to registrate as a higher education institution?

The registration is simple and has to be made under the Sign up menu. After the registration, the moderators of the website will give the coordinator and representative status, but only for those, who have also notified the alumni team via e-mail and asked for this special user status. But what kind of services are provided on the Alumni Hungary portal? 

Our interactive map linked to a detailed search system gives you the opportunity to find your former alumni fellows and future partners wherever they are right now. You can initiate search based on different data such as: name; gender; country of origin; residence country; residence city; studies in hungary (institution, scholarship scheme, date)

You can create alumni events to meet your former fellows or former students from other Hungarian universities with the aim to collaborate, share memories and knowledge, or just simply to have a nostalgic good time. 

You are able to establish groups to create space for deeper discussions and debates in a wide range of topics no matter if professional or informal. One group can have several topics at the same time, with different forums, so it is really easy to keep track on your topics.

Tempus Public Foundation

Tempus Public Foundation (TPF) is a non-profit organization established in 1996 by the Hungarian Government, with the task of managing international cooperation programmes and special projects in the field of education, training and EU-related issues.

Campus Mundi Programme

The purpose of the Campus Mundi programme on the one hand is to promote international mobility of students, on the other hand, to support the internationalization of Hungarian higher education institutes. By strengthening the international reputation of Hungarian higher education institutions, the project contributes to the Hungarian Government's goal of increasing the number of foreign students arriving to Hungary from 25 000 to 40 000 until 2021.  

Alumni Hungary Network

The Alumni Hungary Network is aimed at setting up and maintaining contact with full-time and part-time foreign students graduated from any Hungarian higher education institutions in order to strengthen professional, scientific, economic and political relations with them. Therefore Tempus Public Foundation follows the career path of foreign students after completing their studies in Hungary. It is important for us that former foreign students of Hungary keep their good impressions about the country, continue promoting Hungary and Hungarian higher education as well as strengthen bilateral business, scientific, cultural and diplomatic ties.

Alumni Hungary Portal

One of the main elements of the alumni network is this alumni portal and related databases of senior and junior profiles of graduate users. The portal informs registered users about interesting and relevant news and events in Hungary and makes special online services available to members. The most important function of the platform is linking members and creating an online space for professional networking. International alumni volunteers

The Tempus Public Foundation is cooperating with selected international alumni volunteers as well. Volunteers contribute to the work of the network with various activities including sharing their personal experiences gained during their studies in Hungary, writing blogs or providing assistance at the Hungarian stand to promote Hungarian higher education by providing first-hand experience at international education fairs. Volunteers can help with recruiting prospective students preparing to study in Hungary and assisting as mentors. They arrange alumni meetings in their country of origin and facilitate the development of self-organising local alumni networks. We select alumni volunteers for the required tasks through an application process and sign a volunteer agreement with every chosen volunteer. They receive training and we provide them continuous personal feedback about their volunteer performance.

Hungarian higher education institutions

We also support Hungarian higher education institutions in the development of international alumni activities at an institutional level. The goal of cooperation with alumni offices of higher education institutions is to support their alumni activities in relation to foreign students, in particular through trainings, inviting foreign lecturers and sharing case studies, according to the staff’s needs.
