Studying abroad is an experience that can have lifelong effects on life; not only due the knowledge education offers, but through a foreign study experience you get to know another country, its people and culture. We are convinced that such experience has crucial importance in the evolution of the professional, intellectual and personal life of these ex-students and therefore these memories should not fall into oblivion.
Guided by these endeavours, the Hungarian Government organized in cooperation with the Tempus Public Foundation the first International Alumni Meeting in Budapest on the 27th-28th of October 2016. The International Alumni Meeting was open to alumni who attended or graduated from a Hungarian higher education institution in the past decades. This unique event was an excellent opportunity for alumni to reconnect with Hungary, and with former institutions of higher learning, as well as to meet with former international students of the Hungarian higher education system from all over the world.
