Alumni Hungary Pakistan is a local chapter of Alumni Hungary. The chapter is established with mutual-cooperation of Alumni Hungary Network and four active Alumni members from Pakistan who recently completed their respective phases of education from different Hungarian higher education institutions.

It is Veszprém’s bid for European Capital of Culture that is backed by the project’s independent, international experts’ board, the decision was announced on Friday in Budapest. There was an old lady who would continuously look at me every time I was moving out of the flat. For some reason, we always met either when one of us was going in or out of the flat. I had just enrolled into Hungarian classes and the few Hungarian words I had mastered couldn’t make up a whole conversation.
Earlier this year, three cities have been shortlisted to become the 2023 European Capital of Culture: the eastern Hungarian Debrecen, the country’s second-largest city, which served twice as the nation’s capital; the beautifully renovated baroque city, Győr, in northwest Hungary; and one of the oldest urban areas, the ‘City of Queens’, Veszprém.
The Alumni Hungary experience and journey starts way before graduation. It actually begins when somebody starts her or his studies in a Hungarian higher education institution. We call this whole experience a student-alumni lifecycle.
When you have time, think back on your entire study abroad experience. The people you met, the places you traveled, the things you did… don’t be afraid to reminisce. Appreciate the fact that you did something very few students get to do, and treasure that experience and the new qualities you possess because of it.
