Artificial Intelligence Coalition Complementing IT Companies and Professional Workshops

The Coalition, which the University of Szeged is also a member of, was created to bring Hungary to the forefront of Europe, becoming an important member of the International Artificial Intelligence Community. Minister for Innovation and Technology László Palkovics emphasized that the foundation was based on Hungary's response to the challenges created by artificial intelligence, creating a platform for the cooperation of organizations working in this field.

The University of Szeged was represented by Prof. Dr. Zoltán Kónya, Vice-Rector of Scientific Affairs and Innovation at the founding event.

The aim of the compilation of about 70 Hungarian and international companies, universities, scientific workshops, professional and public administration organizations is to bring Hungary to the forefront of Europe, becoming an important member of the International Artificial Intelligence Community. The intention of the founders of the Coalition is to jointly determine the direction and the framework for development of artificial intelligence. The coalition participates in the development of the MI strategy in Hungary and in the analysis of the social and economic impacts associated with the spread of the MI, said András Levente, the leader of the Digital Wellbeing Program. He added: the operation of the coalition, to which 20 more organizations have indicated their willingness to join, is provided by the Digital Wellbeing Program.
