When we launched the Alumni Network Hungary back in 2018, our main mission was to found and establish a global alumni community of former students at various Hungarian higher education institutions. After years of extensive recruitment, we are proud to have reached more than 6000 registered members.
But who are you exactly? Let’s take a closer look!
You are a member of a community spread across the globe from more than a hundred countries: many of you are from Pakistan, Jordan, India, Syria or Mongolia but we have members even from Sri Lanka, Gabon and Venezuela. A majority of our alumni community has had their studies at the universities of Debrecen and Pécs, the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, the Corvinus University of Budapest and the Eötvös Lóránd University. Most of you obtained an MSc degree but we have hundreds of Bsc and even PhD graduates as well. The most sought after majors are computer sciences, international relations, engineering and medicine. The vast majority of our community pursued their studies with the support of the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship programme but many of you were self-financed or participated in an Erasmus mobility.
After graduation, you have established your career in a wide variety of sectors. Natural sciences, engineering and IT are to most popular choices but education and research follow closely while banking, trade, economics and medicine are also highly prevalent.
As you can see, our global alumni community covers a multitude of nations, educational backgrounds, interests and career choices. We feel that our diversity is one of the most relevant strengths of the Alumni Network Hungary.
But what can our members do after joining?
Members of the Alumni Network Hungary can access services and features created and developed exclusively for them but one of the main focuses of our platform is to facilitate networking and interactions between our alumni. During the registration process, you are encouraged to specify your education and career background in detail that will help your classmates to find you while submitting your contact details is also highly recommended in order for them to contact you directly.
