This year, cognitive neuroscientist Attila Andics is the only researcher in Hungary to win the grant of the European Research Council, the most prestigious research fund in Europe. In his project winning funding of EUR 1.9 million, the researcher working at the ELTE Department of Ethology will be studying the impact of domestication on the voice and speech perception of certain mammals. This project will help us understand how the emergence of speech may have shaped human brain mechanisms.

Our alumni volunteer, Raghawendra Sisodia (PhD student at the University of Miskolc) made an interview with Michal Černý who is currently Head of Science and Research Unit at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Czech Republic. He is also a former student of Hungary and our alumni member.

Granted accredited status, Széchenyi István University’s Radio Frequency Testing Laboratory can perform electromagnetic compatibility tests and commercial tests according to the standard defined by the Radio Equipment Directive - the latter being the only one in Hungary.
