Using Artificial intelligence to predict sports performance and to gain more quality time for doctors with patients are only two of the forward-looking research Semmelweis University had been working on lately. These are the developments the University counting on in 2023.
We have a great and enthusiastic international alumni volunteer team of 22 people from 18 countries. Most of them decided to create an alumni chapter in their home country or make international professional alumni groups and some of them did great social media work. Our alumni community and network are growing day by day and have reached around 10K members. Some of the members decided to organise small groups (chapters) to keep in contact or build professional collaboration with each other. In 2022 our alumni volunteers launched 6 different new alumni groups (4 local and 2 professional) giving a chance for the members to join. In our new column, Lucky Peter Kenda introduces the Nigeria-Hungary Alumni Association in Jalingo and Abuja.
The collaboration between Coursera and the University of Szeged is set to progress the advancement of higher education in Szeged. On January 23, 2023, Coursera's CEO, Jeff Maggioncalda, visited the University of Szeged to formalize the partnership and address the faculty and students in an opening ceremony.

She studied International Economics and Business at Budapest Business School between 2015-2017 and is now a Chief Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded Business Excellence for Sustainability and Transparency (BEST) project in Mongolia.
The University of Pécs organized the first International Healthcare Engineering Innovation Conference in Pécs. One of the main presenters dr. Metin Akay talked about exciting developments like brain chips used for treating brain tumours, and a non-invasive device used to diagnose blockages of the coronary arteries.
