The business journal Heti Világgazdaság lists at the end of each year the best Hungarian universities for the coming year. This year, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), the University of Szeged and the University of Debrecen are among the top, as Eduline reports.
The Alumni Hungary Network is in close cooperation with the Hungarian higher education institutions (HEI). The aim of the cooperation with the alumni offices of the HEIs is to support their international alumni activities, by providing them with trainings, inviting internationally acknowledged lecturers and reviewing case studies according to their needs. This November was a very productive month for Alumni Hungary Network on this field.

Earlier this year, three cities have been shortlisted to become the 2023 European Capital of Culture: the eastern Hungarian Debrecen, the country’s second-largest city, which served twice as the nation’s capital; the beautifully renovated baroque city, Győr, in northwest Hungary; and one of the oldest urban areas, the ‘City of Queens’, Veszprém.
The Coalition, which the University of Szeged is also a member of, was created to bring Hungary to the forefront of Europe, becoming an important member of the International Artificial Intelligence Community. Minister for Innovation and Technology László Palkovics emphasized that the foundation was based on Hungary's response to the challenges created by artificial intelligence, creating a platform for the cooperation of organizations working in this field.
The parties have signed the contracts that support the establishment of a BMW facility in Debrecen at UD. In connection with the development, the Faculty of Engineering at UD will launch new academic programmes.
