Alumni meeting in IndiaGraduation doesn’t mean the end of Hungarian experience, it lasts a lifetime. An alumni meeting is always a good idea to come together with familiar faces or new people to bring up old memories.

Before the alumni meeting, the Study in Hungary team held its Indo-Hungarian Higher Education Forum to strengthen the inter-institutional cooperation among Indian and Hungarian higher education institutions. This way it was great, that not only alumni members, but representatives of Hungarian higher education institutions could attend the event.

The official Alumni Meeting started after the Indo-Hungarian Higher Education Forum. At the beginning, Ms. Eszter Végh gave a presentation about the Alumni Hungary Network. She talked about the everyday work of the network and emphasized the advantages of alumni membership. All the participants had the chance to learn more about the ways they could cooperate with the network and build up a strong, well-functioning and active local alumni chapter. Mr. Ayaz Shaikh, a former Stipendium Hungaricum scholar holder from India, now a PhD student at University of Debrecen joined the meeting via video call. He introduced his award winning innovation project launched in Hungary, called the Mrida project. Mr. Shaikh’s presentation was very successful among the participants as the audience had many questions which may lead to future cooperation as well.
