The event's theme was the famous Füredi Anna Ball, a traditional event held each year in Balatonfüred, which now celebrates its 200th anniversary. The beautiful venue, the historic building of the Liszt Institute in Moscow, provided an excellent setting for creating an elegant, festive atmosphere.

The event started with inspiring speeches: Norbert Konkoly, the Hungarian Ambassador to Moscow, emphasised the bravery and talent of scholarship holders, András Márfi, science and technology diplomat (TéT), introduced the history of the Stipendium Hungaricum program in Russia, and Sándor Kozlov, head of the Liszt Institute, shared insights about the history of the venue and its current cultural events related to Hungary.

After the speeches, the guests enjoyed amazing live music performances by pianist Péter Gerecze and trombonist Tamás Kovács, and the former Hungarian X-factor contestant, Kátya Gruber and her band. In addition to the musical programs, guests could also visit the three temporary exhibitions of the Liszt Institute and try out board games developed by the Institute's staff. Of course, gastronomy was not left out either, as a fine selection of Hungarian food and wine was served during the event.

The meetup was an excellent chance for new and former students to share experiences, make new connections and celebrate community and culture. Look through the gallery below, to get a glimpse of the event!
