Meet our Senior Alumni – An interview with Dr. Luis Fernando Murillo

First meet Dr. Luis Fernando Murillo, a genuine world citizen, who lived, studied and taught in numerous countries all around the world. Hungarian Universities Among the Bests

Seven Hungarian universities are listed on the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Ranking, which is one of the most influential university rankings in the world. On the list, which is led by MIT, Stanford and Harvard, the best positions amongst Hungarian universities were taken by the University of Szeged and the University of Debrecen. 

Biggest Japanese-language library is at KRE

On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the establishment of Japanese-Hungarian diplomatic relations, Hungary received 20.000 books in the framework of the Honno Kote Project from Kagoshima county.

ERC Synergy Grant at ELTE

Tivadar Vida, professor of archaeology at Eötvös Loránd University, is one of the principal investigators of the research project exploring the early medieval population of Europe, which won a grant of €10 million.

„Climate Change is not a Fashion Trend”

Environment protection and sustainable development are the focus of the research of Prof. Dr Nguyen Huu Ninh from Vietnam, who has won the Nobel Peace Prize as a member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change in 2007 and became an honorary doctor of the University of Pécs in 2009. Upon the invitation of Rector Prof. Dr Attila Miseta, he visited Pécs with a delegation of seven distinguished members on 24 October in the Rector’s Cabinet.
