New online platform for Semmelweis Alumni has been launched

A new online platform has been launched with over 5.000 members selected from the Semmelweis Alumni Network. The aim is to bring the community closer and to share programs, career opportunities and social awareness. After the test launch, the entire Semmelweis alumni community, tens of thousands of people from over 70 countries around the world, will be able to use the platform.

Széchenyi István University's students develop communication module for satellites

When the SZE-SAT team of Széchenyi István University was founded, it set itself the goal of putting a satellite of its own design into the sky. The students have reached an important stage in this process, as they have completed and tested the module that will soon be able to broadcast the name of the institution and Győr to the countries of the world, announcing that Széchenyi István University has entered space. In December, the satellite of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) will carry the Győr-developed communication panel into the cosmos.

Can less work be more productive? – An interview with researcher Miklós Antal

As the presenter of the Alumni Hungary Webinar Series in April, he introduced his research on the potential of working time reduction and a more sustainable economic system. Celebrating the Hungarian Poetry Day with the Alumni Volunteer team

The Hungarian Poetry Day is on a different day than the World Poetry Day and it’s celebrated on 11 April in 2022. It’s celebrated on the anniversary of József Attila’s birthday, who is among the most famous Hungarian poets. On this day we celebrate culture, reading and writing poems all around the world. The aim of this event is to support linguistic diversity by sharing famous poems or even sharing our own. Busójárás – A Hungarian tradition celebrating the coming of spring

The annual ritual of Busójárás dates back to hundreds of years, celebrating the end of winter and the beginning of spring. The UNESCO-recognised event lasts approximately for one week in the small town of Mohács, located in southern Hungary, near the city of Pécs. For the first time since the pandemic, this year the carnival will take place between 24 February and 1 March!
