Our alumni community and network are growing day by day and have reached 10K members. Some of them decided to organize small groups (chapters) to keep in contact or build professional collaboration with each other. In 2022 our alumni volunteers launched 6 different new alumni groups (4 local and 2 professional) giving a chance for the members to join. In our new column, we collected the newly developing chapters, launched by our volunteer, and feel free to join them!

We have a great and enthusiastic international alumni volunteer team of 22 people from 15 countries. Most of them decided to create an alumni chapter in their home country or make international professional alumni groups and some of them did great social media work. In the next chapter of our volunteer series, you can read Liu Beier’s story from China! He studied for his bachelor's degree in Hungary between 2017-21 and now he’s studying at the University of Pécs.
 

Research.com has published this year’s ranking of the most successful scientists by discipline. In the field of psychology, we find only 18 Hungarian scientists among the best, including three researchers affiliated with the ELTE Faculty of Education and Psychology: Zsolt Demetrovics, Attila Szabó, and Róbert Urbán.

Participants of a 5-day summer school launched at UD on Monday can learn about preparations required before the electron microscopy studies of tissue samples and about how to manage the related practical problems. The course, which was organized by NeurotechEU, an international university cooperation programme, is attended by 14 students from 9 countries, as well as laboratory professionals and assistants.

She studied Economist in Business Administration and Management at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences between 2018-2022 and now she works as an Account Manager.

The most promising student startup projects were introduced in the third year of the Hungarian Startup University Program (HSUP) at Széchenyi István University. The nationwide initiative introduces hundreds of students in Győr to the world of innovative entrepreneurship and provides the best ones with the professional support they need to turn their ideas into real businesses.

On 20 June we celebrated the graduation of the Stipendium Hungaricum and the Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship Programme holders at a prestigious farewell event at the Hotel Danubia in Budapest. More than 100 guests attended the ceremony including our alumni volunteers who greeted new graduates and introduced the benefits of the Alumni Network Hungary. 

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket has launched the Transporter 8 mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California (USA) with BME’s MRC-100 satellite on board. A live recording of the launch can be viewed on the SpaceX website and video sharing sites.

Zsombor Zrubka health economist and associate professor at Óbuda University was the speaker of the Alumni Hungary Webinar in June. He held an exciting presentation about the role of digitalisation and the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare. We interviewed him about his work, research and the prospects of digital health.
