Five Hungarian universities are involved as full partners in the newly established European Universities Initiative, said Lászlo Palkovics, the minister of innovation and technology.

The Hungarian film industry has gone a long way since the very first movie theatre was opened in Budapest in 1896. Back then, brothers Arnold and Zsigmond Sziklai used French machines to project films, produced by the Lumiére brothers, onto the screen. Film screenings became popular in coffee houses, and by 1911 nearly 100 movie theatres were operating.

Graduation ceremonies have come to the end at every university in Hungary for the summer. The new academic year is coming soon. But to take a short look back, we would like to share with you the thoughts of some graduates. The graduation speeches were written for the Stipendium Hungaricum Farewell Party 2019.

As a volunteer, I was invited to attend volunteer training in Budapest. I have not been in volunteer training before, therefore I put many prospectives about my day there. My hopes did not go down, it was an amazing day for me with distinguished people.
